Clifford Sosnow

Biography:

Clifford Sosnow is Chair of Fasken’s International Trade and Investment Law Group. He is Vice-Chair of the Responsible Conduct Committee of Business at OECD (BIAC). Clifford is also Vice-Chair of the American Bar Association’s International Law Section. Clifford is an internationally recognized anti-forced and child labour and anti-bribery law advisor, strategist, and advocate. He routinely conducts modern slavery and anti-bribery and corruption ESG audits including in the resource, banking, and consumer goods sectors as well as other high-risk capital-intensive sectors. He also advises clients in these sectors regarding their own reporting and due diligence obligations. Clifford has significant expertise in drafting best practices policies and guidelines to minimize risk of forced labour and corrupt activities in high-risk regions. Clifford is recognized as a leading international trade lawyer and investment lawyer in numerous international ranking directories including Chambers Global and Chambers Canada (Band 1), Who’s Who Legal 100 and Legal 500 for International Trade. Clifford is a thought leader who has been interviewed by numerous media and print outlets including National Public Radio, Bloomberg TV and the New York Times.
