Jan De Silva

Biography:

In March 2011 Jan joined Ivey Asia providing leadership to the Hong Kong campus of Canada’s  premier business  school with responsibility for the school’s overall development and expansion in Asia. Jan assumed this role with more than 10 years of CEO experience in China. From 2000 to 2007, she was CEO of Canadian  Sun  Life  Financial’s  business  in Hong  Kong  and  then  its Mainland China joint venture. Under her leadership Sun Life Everbright expanded its China operations from 2 to 15 cities, grew to a workforce of more than 4,000 and delivered triple  digit  revenue  growth. In  2007,  Jan  co-founded  Retail  China  Limited,  a company that worked with international retail brands operating their retail stores and managing franchisees in China. A Singapore-listed group acquired the company, in late 2009. Following that she remained active in capital advisory and investment projects.
