Dan Lizotte is an Associate Professor at Western University with joint appointments in Computer Science and Epidemiology & Biostatistics. His research develops AI and statistical methods to support decision-making in health and public policy, with applications in public health, primary care, electronic health records, and social media data. He works at the intersection of machine learning, sequential decision-making, and optimization to support patients, professionals, and health systems. Lizotte has taught AI methods for more than a decade and also serves as Director of the Rotman Institute of Philosophy, where he brings a strong interest in health equity and societal impacts of AI.
